Tribal IDs play a vital role in verifying membership within the Moapa Band of Paiutes, ensuring that enrolled members can access essential services such as healthcare, education assistance, housing programs, and other tribal benefits. These IDs also serve as an official form of identification, reinforcing tribal sovereignty by maintaining accurate enrollment records and preserving the tribe’s legal and cultural identity. Additionally, a Tribal ID may be required for voting in tribal elections, participating in per capita distributions, and proving eligibility for programs specific to Native communities.
To obtain a Tribal ID, members must submit an application through the Enrollment Department, provide necessary documentation such as proof of enrollment or lineage, and, if applicable, pay any required fees for new or replacement cards. The Enrollment Office ensures that all information is accurate before issuing an ID. For further details or to request an application, please contact the Enrollment Department.
